Practical Limitations

In practice ground water or surface water already contains other dissolved gases such as nitrogen and argon that must be removed before full oxygen saturation is possible.  Dissolved oxygen concentrations of 20 to 25 mg/L are normally produced by running the O2Zone® at 30 gallons per minute in an open chamber (0 psig).  Dissolved oxygen concentrations of 30 to 35 mg/L are typical at a spray chamber pressure of one atmosphere (14.69 psig); DO values in excess of 50 mg/L are possible at higher chamber pressures and lower flow rates.
