Packaging Options
Bulk Tanks Bulk tank packaging results in the least expensive way to use Newman Zone® because we have no markup on packaging costs. However, we have no capability to store in bulk. Although we can manufacture 80,000 to 110,000 pounds of emulsified vegetable oil (EVO) in a day, we need a lead time of approximately one month to arrange for materials and schedule production. For clients who have on-site tanks with a 6,000 gallon capacity, we can use food-grade tanker trucks with on-board pumps to deliver 45,000 to 50,000 pounds per load. The tankers that we typically use will deliver 48,000 pounds of product. If clients chose not to provide on-site storage tanks, Agmark rental tanks provide a convenient delivery option. The tanks hold 47,000 and can be unloaded with pressurized air or nitrogen. We load the tanks directly from the production line at a temperature of 40° F. The tanks are super-insulated and have a product temperature rise of 1° F or less per day. We can supply a bulk tank adapter kit that will allow you to connect a bulk tank directly to our rental injection equipment and unload Newman Zone® under pressure. See our hints for using Agmark bulk tanks.

Totes Totes contain 2,100 pounds net of Newman Zone® (255 gallons at room temperature) and have a gross weight of approximately 2,200 pounds each. We normally manufacture Newman Zone® in 80,000-110,000 pound (38-52 totes) lots which are then stored in our refrigerated warehouse. We try to maintain an inventory of at least 21,000 pounds (10 totes) each of standard (190-6722) and buffered non-ionic (190-6730) formulations. So depending on the size of your order and demand by other customers, we can have your shipment on a truck and out the door as early as the day after you call. However, shipping on such short notice will be significantly more expensive than if you give us a week to arrange less expensive shipping. We use pallets that are custom-designed to closely fit our totes so that there is neither overhand or underhang of the tote. The pallets are heat-treated to eliminate the fumigation needed for export.

Pails A portion of our regular production runs is packaged in 5-gallon pails and we try to maintain an inventory of standard (190-6722) and buffered non-ionic (190-6730) formulations. Each pail contains 40 pounds net of Newman Zone®. A pallet of 36 pails contains 1,440 points of product. We can include a pail wrench with our rental equipment upon your request. Although more costly because of the more expensive packaging, pails are a practical alternative to totes in situations where significantly less than 2,100 pounds of EVO are required or where site conditions preclude the movement of bulk tanks or totes from a shipping point to the point of use. No loading docks, lift-gate trucks, or fork-lifts are required. Two can be carried by one person a useful distance. A 55-gallon drum is too heavy to be safely moved by one person, and yet is small enough to tempt him to try. Consequently, we do not package in drums.
