Newman Zone® is the first factory manufactured off-the-shelf emulsified vegetable oil (EVO) to be marketed for enhanced anaerobic bioremediation.  The first full-scale production run was completed in February 2002.  The first full-scale field application was the injection of 52,000 pounds of Newman Zone® during March 2002 (Newman and Pelle, 2006).  Since then, millions of pounds have been injected and scores of projects completed in the United States, Australia, Canada, Europe, and South Africa.
