Easy System Installation
The system can often be installed without mechanical or electrical contractors. Inlet and Effluent water supply hoses can be quickly connected with 1.5-inch camlock connections. The system is mounted on an aluminum strut frame and can easily be moved into position on a hand truck. The oxygen generators (one unit on the low flow system and two on the high flow system) can be plugged into a standard 120-volt wall outlet. Each oxygen generator draws only 5 amps. If the peristaltic pump will be used to deliver nutrient amendments such as nitrogen or phosphorus a third 120-volt outlet is required. The peristaltic pump draws approximately 2 amps. The system is designed for indoor operation with air temperatures maintained between 40-100 degrees Fahrenheit. The oxygen generators and peristaltic pump are not explosion-proof and should not be operated in a corrosive or explosive atmosphere. If the oxygenation system is to be installed in an environment where explosive vapors might be present the oxygen generators and chemical feed pump must be located in different location that is free of corrosive or explosive vapors.
